EPS also evaluated standard packaged solutions and
independently determined that they would fail to handle the school's business
processes properly. EPS analyzed the client's needs and
determined that a solution based upon open standards, XML and Web Services was
the optimum solution for the client's needs. The architecture allows for
replacing parts and adding new modules without replacing the whole application.
The system design ensures extensibility and maintainability for the future.
One of the system requirements is that all web forms have the look and feel of
Windows® applications. EPS delivered on the promise even
though there were many technical problems and the solution is now considered to
be one to the ultimate extensions of web forms functionality.
